So I stumbled across this while thinking about how best to engage young minds and help us change our society. I found out that until we decide to make a difference, we will remain where we are unsatisfied. The truth is that, youth activism and engagement can bring about important social changes that are sometimes left behind. You don’t have to wait to be an adult to be an active member of your community. Your opinion matters and it should be heard. Here’s a list of ideas on how you can participate locally and globally: 1. Know your rights: You might not be able to vote yet, but all children and youth hold national and international rights. These rights are only of use to you if you are informed about them, so read up! 2. Learn about local issues: Is a roadblock affecting your commute to school? Good morning and happy new month friends. Each time we awake to a new day and a new month, in the midst of the felicitations, we need to pause! Think and be grateful. It’s likely at some point you’ve heard this remark from a parent, grandparent or have even uttered these words to a child yourself. (Or even worse, a partner!) Our need to see gratitude in others as well as to be grateful is a huge part of us seeing that person also as a loving, caring person.  Having gratitude helps us to enjoy life more. It can break through huge barriers and reduce our stress loads, give us more confidence and help us to meet our goals- no matter how big they may be. There is no doubt that being grateful goes a long way. It’s just how to be grateful in times of stress or when suffering from disappointment or sadness that’s difficult.
