Poco a Poco (Little by little)

SLOW FADE! It’s a slow fade when you give yourself away It’s a slow fade when black and white turns to grey and doubt invades Choices made! A price will be paid. People never crumble in a day. Of all the gospel music’s I enjoy, I particularly cherish “Slow Fade” sang by Ray Bolts. How I wish He really was conscious of the lyrics of that song. Its so unique a song that has a deep truth both to the Christian, Non-Christian or Atheist… It tells how families never crumble in a day. How relationships never dies in a day, How failure never emerges in a day, and how little by little our actions and consent informs the great Scar the obivious wound leaves or the Great Success we cling to. Last week Saturday, My roommate decide to fix the standing fan that was malfunctioning a bit. It suddenly started making unpleasant sounds and we decided to do the troubleshooting #Winks. Today we herald our independence, celebrating the tireless efforts of great patriots who fought for our colonial freedom and built our ideological framework. However, a retrospective look into the spate of our nationhood leaves us with many a question to ponder on. Are we sustaining the labours of our heroes past? Are we still running with the passion that spurred them? Are we building on the unifying identity they fought for? Are we really uniquely independent from colonial oppressions?
