SIGNIFICANCE FROM TINY DROPS
We got a new water filter at home that has different filtering layers for purification of drinking water, and this new device gave me a stronger believe in the truth that “Tiny drops of water makes a mighty ocean”. From the topmost compartment, water leaves in drops to the next filtering layer, and then in drops into the dispense tank. Sometimes you have 2 drops entering the next stage, at other times it’s just one. However, it is always in drops, and over a period of time the dispense tank gets ready to release it contents to quench my thirst.
Living a significant life as well doesn’t happen at a go. It’s not a destination, just like success, it is a journey. It comes from consistent intentional actions that may appear insignificant when considered individually, but with a memorable compound effect.
Several ideas fly through the mind every day, but only few persons learn lessons from such ideas, and incorporate it into relevant areas of their life. For every 999 failed attempt of Thomas Edison in giving the world an electric bulb, he gradually added a tiny drop of knowledge to his intellectual hub about what does work, and what to stick with while retrying. His attention to tiny details that came from every new attempt culminated into a significant life.
A little bit of love and kindness can be a life safer for a suicide thinker.
A tiny drop of positive words, can rekindle a soul that has lost reason for living.
A little line of knowledge and information can save you from the slavery of ignorance.
A tiny beam of smile can give hope to a deaf helpless life down the streets.
Your little idea can be the innovation that will transform generations.
Very tiny movement of the seconds hand of the clock is all life needs to be measured by.
There’s indeed power in little things, as it take only a drop of kerosene to spoil a sumptuously prepared dish. However friend chose the positive side of influence for in that lays significant legacies of eternal value. All you need to contribute could be your voice, your megabytes, your few minute prayers, your $1, your old re-usable clothes, your time, your listening ear, your agreement, your affirmation, your endearments, or your timely silence.
Like the water filter in my house, at first your tiny drops may look so irrelevant and needless, but trust me, with time and consistency, the world to whom you’ve been dishing out those drops will celebrate your contribution to its greatness.
Keep doing the little positive things; they count at the end of the day. When the power of collaboration is analyzed, you will see how much greatness can be produced when we all go an extra-mile to contribute to making our society a better place.
