Beyond Dreaming!


So much has been said about the power of visualization, that even the 5years old boy has a dream of a golden future. A future where he sits in a Leonardo Da Vinci decorated apartment, consuming sauced vegetables and grilled fish, enjoying the luxury of the smartest technological equipment their financial affluence has afforded them.

We have told, written, discussed and criticized our dreams about our countries, states and life. We have painted the most descriptive pictures of fantasies, and consoled our aggrieved and frustrated hearts with hope of a future of our dreams.

But Friend… How much efforts have we put into the realization of this dream?

Many a times, I speak to people about discovering purpose. I create the positive energy in them about why they must discover and understand purpose in life. But these days, I think there is a different dimension to that message that needs to be preached, to bridge the gap between Purpose Discovery and Purpose Achievement. That is the message of Living out our dream.  Bankole Williams understood this and started the annual conference that has transformed lives and set many on the pedestals to greatness. We need to become more conscious about this necessity if we will realize our dreams, and become that icon of greatness our subconscious mind has ever painted and longed for.



Beyond dreaming, Start living out the contents that culminate into your dream. It is colossal waste of time to understand and have a dream to be a positive energy in the society, yet you consciously while away your time thinking and acting like certified fools. It is an aberration of the essentiality of time that you get married to procrastination, and let opportunities pass you by consciously, with the excuse that you don’t feel like trying yet. It is a disrespect to your God given ideas, that you are awaiting for the most comfortable and perfect mood and status to start achieving it. Let’s stop dreaming and start becoming.

Beyond dreaming about a society with sound moral tenets, lets advocate for it. Blog about it, start up discussions on it. Draw up models for it. Show zero tolerance for its abuse. Let our immediate environment feel our conscious efforts of making the dream come true.

Beyond dreaming about a society where our young minds will have the will power to act right and take decisions that promotes peace, unity and progress, Let us start with our primary and secondary schools. Going in there to teach them about the right value systems they need to cultivate build a better nation. If we dream alone and don’t reach out explicitly, they will also dream like us and end up living in the mistakes of our generations compounding generational woes.

Beyond dreaming about a society with progressive political structure and true servant-leaders, Let us start calling out our leaders to give us the true dividends of democracy. Let us stand against elephant projects than are not only infeasible, but also are means of financial embezzlement. Let’s reject incentives that make our emotion override our sense of true judgment. Let’s vote in leaders not on the basis of discriminatory divides, but on the grounds of integrity, posterity and true ability to transform.

Lets go beyond dreaming and start living out our dreams consciously. Let’s be the change we want to see in our environment. Let your waking thoughts always be to Make A Difference.

D BROKEN SILENCE!!!! Some 8years ago , I feared standing up in the midst of a crowd not to talk of speaking to them. The irony about the issue was that i always had a succinct idea that i believed was needful to place this aright, but i always squabble in fear and let my mouths get sealed up. She got into trouble because i found it difficult to say a word and prove her guiltless. I got bullied a couple of times because my silence made them feel I was configured to be maltreated. I missed bonus marks in the class, not because I didn't know the answer to the "seemingly tough question" but because i just kept silence about my knowledge , feeling so timid to say my mind.
