LIMITING BELIEFS

Let's Talk About Limiting Beliefs!


So through the weekend, I had a power-packed online conference I attended that repositioned my life and I'm sure many of us here also attended that summit - Headstart Summit.

One of the Major takeaways I had from that summit was - Destroy Limiting Beliefs.

While I paid close attention to the 17 different power speakers of that conference, from Disruptor Ubong King, to Disruptive Creator Kunle Soriyan. I discovered that significant progress in life is bounded (Permitted and Restricted) by our belief system.

No matter your business or professional inclination, you are at the mercy of your mind.

In fact, your business goals, financial projections, leadership goals, management targets are as big as your minds eyes can see.

So if it's about the mind, you can understand why it's about our belief system right? Because  our mind is the headquarters of our beliefs. It not only processes those thoughts, it also decide to what extent you can even use them.

It's painful that all we see, and are exposed to are responsible for this. But hey friends we need to learn the act of seeing Not just with the eyes, but Through the eyes.

If we must be that transformative leader we talk of. That iconic leader we dream to be. That generational Disruptor we believe we were created to become...

Then.....

We must see beyond what is being shown us.

We must look through the lens of the environment beyond ours.

We must intentionally destroy those limiting beliefs that we are used to, by challenging them.

But how do you do that? you may ask....

It's simple,

Find someone living beyond your best, and study their resilience. When you've done that reach forth to them if you can or try some of those things you see them doing. But with a level of uniqueness that resonates in you.

Read books that your mates are not reading, and beyond reading them, learn from it.

Join communities of people with belief systems that embarrasses your own, and press towards the possibilities in that new realm.

The truth remains...

The mind can learn WHATSOEVER we are disciplined enough to teach it!

The question is,

Are you ready to pay the price of uniqueness? The price of discipline? It will cost your your comfort zone, but will earn you a new normal that will make you more valuable to the world.

In all thy doing never stop reinventing yourself, cause the more you do... The more the world finds it difficult to spell your name!

PS: Disrupting your current limiting beliefs system come not only with a price, but needs Grace. Seek God's face for the grace to re-invent, cos it is only a Grace-Inspired reinvention that is sustainable and geometrically dignifying!

The World awaits your manifestation. Don't starve a waiting generation. Make A Difference!

D BROKEN SILENCE!!!! Some 8years ago , I feared standing up in the midst of a crowd not to talk of speaking to them. The irony about the issue was that i always had a succinct idea that i believed was needful to place this aright, but i always squabble in fear and let my mouths get sealed up. She got into trouble because i found it difficult to say a word and prove her guiltless. I got bullied a couple of times because my silence made them feel I was configured to be maltreated. I missed bonus marks in the class, not because I didn't know the answer to the "seemingly tough question" but because i just kept silence about my knowledge , feeling so timid to say my mind.
